Job Description:
The IT Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the availability and security of the network and its resources to end-users. This person will carry out technical, nonroutine installation and maintenance of network hardware and software, such as servers, operating systems, storage devices, switches, and end-user equipment. This person is also responsible for providing user-level network services, such as assigning passwords and accounts, administering e-mail, setting permissions, and desktop applications support.Installs, configures, and maintains Microsoft server operating systems. Detects diagnoses, analyzes and resolves problems on NT server and NT desktop systems. Responsible for the configuration, maintenance and overall performance of the Microsoft Exchange email system. Performs various tasks in software and hardware maintenance and support
Desired Candidate Profile:
Manage and Maintain Windows 200x servers in multiple locations
Backup and recovery management
Thorough knowledge in Active directory Services
Good knowledge of Exchange server 2003
Desktop engineering
Anti Virus software installation experience
Thorough knowledge in CISCO Routers & firewall
Experience in installing and handling VPNs
Good knowledge in network protocols
Working knowledge of VOIP Systems
Documentation skills
Good troubleshooting skills
24x7 on-call support rotation
Good grasp of data communications and networking principles
Familiarity with the mathematics/physics of packet data network
